Miracle Mantras

365 daily mantras inspired by A Course in Miracles Workbook

I will be creating these mantras each day as part of my own daily practice of the Course Workbook and sharing them with you. In these videos  I will transform each daily lesson into a mantra /small song to help focus the mind and recall the lesson throughout your day. My intention is for you to utilize these mantras—or receive inspiration to create your own—to help you remember each lesson and to apply it to any situation during the day that may arise that disturbs your peace of mind.

A Course in Miracles completely transformed my life.

Over ten years ago, while living and singing in Santiago, Chile, I was a new mother in a foreign country, struggling in my marriage and feeling profoundly alone. Though I had already spent years as a yogi, activist, and devotional singer — including five years studying Indian classical music in Amritsar, India with my beloved teacher  — I was still wrestling with depression, unworthiness and the belief that I was somehow unlovable.

In my desperation, I discovered Marianne Williamson’s lectures on A Course in Miracles. I listened avidly for several years before finally taking her advice to begin the Workbook myself.

At first, I resisted the unfamiliar language, the masculine pronouns, and even the word “God”were uncomfortable for me.I decided to approach it as an experiment—to simply do the daily lessons and see if they might soften my inner judgments and self-criticism.

When I was younger, some thought I didn't speak because I was so shy. Even during my years performing with my childhood friends in our successful vocal trio Copper Wimmin, I was deeply introverted and self-critical. Nothing I achieved seemed to touch the core of my self doubt.and I often felt I did not want to be alive and living on this planet.

Now, I am filled with joy everyday. I am deeply grateful for the gift of being alive — to share, to sing, and to connect. I no longer suffer from anxiety or depression. I no longer wear perfection like an albatross around my neck. I am ready to share my music, my experiences, and my love —boundlessly.

I love meeting new people and see each encounter as a divine appointment. I trust in every experience that life brings. Above all, I know now that I am a holy child of the Divine, loved beyond measure.

My hope is that through this practice, you come to know as I have that:

You are never alone.

You are inherently worthy.

Love is what you are.
